Pilot board to hold open forums

PILOT MOUNTAIN — The Pilot Mountain board of commissioners will hold two public forums Monday night including one about walkability to the new middle school and the other will be concerning an incentive to a local rope company, Wound About.

The board also will discuss an incentive agreement for job creation and economic development.

During the meeting, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the board room in the basement of town hall, the board also will hear departmental reports from the ABC Board, Valerie Oberle with the Pilot Mountain Tourism Development Authority, the police department, public works department and other town departments.

Town Manager Blair Knox will give his report to the board.

The board then will hold a closed session to discuss personnel and legal matters.
