The Surry County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents are under investigation:

• On Sept. 14, Ronnie Lynn Murphy, 63, of Lyles Street in Elkin, reported the theft of a utility trailer tag valued at $30.

• On Sept. 14, Mary Sykes Wood, 61, N.C. 268 in Elkin, reported the larceny of prescription medication from her home.

• On Sept. 14, Hazel Lance Cummings, 92, of N.C. 268 in Elkin, reported the breaking and entering of her home and the theft of U.S. currency and a cordless phone.

• On Sept. 15, Vaudy Dayton Edwards, 68, of Turkey Ford Road in Dobson, reported the theft of a cell phone.

• On Sept. 21, Crawford Ebb Gray, 65, of High Oak Court in Pinnacle, reported the breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and the theft of a camera, GPS system and tire inflator. The property was valued at $1,270.

• On Sept. 22, Thomas Edward Graybeal, 49, of Philip Branch Road in Mount Airy, reported that someone had subscribed to Time Warner Cable in his name.

• On Sept. 22, Aaron Keith Smith, 63, of Fred Atkinson Lane in Mount Airy, reported the breaking and entering of his home and the theft of a 37-inch Toshiba flat-screen television valued at $300.

• On Sept. 22, Judy Holland Jessup, 69, of Whitaker Chapel Road in Pilot Mountain, reported the breaking and entering of buildings on her property and the theft of assorted tools valued at $300.

• On Sept. 22, Angel Renee Bryant, 28, of Hamburg Street in Mount Airy, reported the larceny of a black Mongoose bicycle from her yard.

• On Sept. 22, employees with Foothills Ford, on Cook School Road in Pilot Mountain, reported that someone broke into a vehicle and stole a camera and loose change.

• On Sept. 23, Norma Ricker Hiatt, 75, of Winderward Drive in Mount Airy, reported the theft of two diamond rings valued at over $5,000.
