DOBSON — Surry Central had no trouble with visiting South Stokes Thursday, taking care of the Sauras 77-49.

The Golden Eagles nearly led by as much as 50 points during the second half behind an strong overall performance.

Austin McLamb had 18 points, Jake Levesque added 17 points and 11 rebounds while Dave Wilmoth and Bradley Lewis pitched in 14 apiece in the win for coach Ken Eiswalds team.

A day after a tough loss at Mount Airy, Eiswald said Central seemed to have their legs back Thursday.

“Jake Levesque was really strong on the inside and he opened up a lot of things on the outside,” Eiswald said. “We were a lot crisper in everything we did. We scored in transition in our halfcourt game, they played a zone and we were patient and hit our shots. We attacked them on the offensive end in a lot of different ways. It was one of those nights where everything was working.”
