J.J. Jones Intermediate School is the host site for a bingo night to raise money for a local youth basketball team.
The Surry Storm sixth-grade team is looking to attend the national AAU tournament in Hampton, Va. All proceeds from this event will go toward those travel costs.
Doors open Friday at 5:30 p.m. with games at 6:30 p.m. at the school on Riverside Drive.
Organizers are planning a 50/50 drawing, raffle tickets for a Sabika jewelry set and many Sabika door prizes.
The cost to participate in the bingo games is $20. Concessions will be available for purchase.
