MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Ossie Iona Tickle Terrell, 93, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Laurel Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Terrell was born in Surry County on Dec. 8, 1918, to the late Joseph Franklin and Sadie Joyce Boles. She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Gardner of Mount Airy; three grandchildren and spouses, Kenneth Dale Gardner of Lowgap, Penny Gail and Ray Flippen Jr. of Mount Airy and Jill and Pete Hubbard Jr. of Ararat, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Colby and Riley Hubbard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Terrell; a son, Danny Ray Tickle; a son-in-law, Jerry Arnold Gardner; two sisters, Anna Jones and Mary Green; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Vie Boles. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Korners Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Gary Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 10 a.m. until time to go to the cemetery for the service.
