PILOT MOUNTAIN — North Surry’s Kasie Tolbert won the medalist honor, but South Stokes reclaimed the top spot in golf Wednesday.

The Lady Sauras won the first two weeks before the Lady Greyhounds prevailed last week at Cross Creek Country Club.

At the par-35 Pilot Knob Park, South Stokes edged the Hounds by just two strokes: 129 to 131.

South Stokes had four players in the top 10. Megan Mabe and Nicole Rogers tied for third at 42. Brooke Martin shot 45, good for fifth place, and Brooke Kiger was tied for sixth one stroke behind Martin.

Tolbert shot a 38 to take first by three strokes. Gatlin Hiatt was tied for sixth at 46, and Sarah Holleman was tied for eighth at 47.

East Surry was third with a 143. One seed Madison Moore was second on the day with a 41. Elizabeth Shelton was tied for eighth with a 47.

Mount Airy was fourth with a 178. The conference did not release a score for Surry Central Wednesday.

Surry Central will host next week’s match.
