NORTH WILKESBORO — Sales totaled 110 head, including cattle (106) and hogs (4), during Wednesday’s sales at Wilkes Livestock Exchange.

Animals sold on the livestock market, based on 100-pound weights, were:

• Cows: 800-895 pounds, $2-$72; 900-995 pounds, $70-$80; 1,000-1,095 pounds, $69-$77; 1,200-1,295 pounds, $63-$75; 1,300-1,395 pounds, $60-$65; 1,400-1,495 pounds, $68-$75; 1,500-1,595 pounds, $20-$70.

• Steers: 400-495 pounds, $146; 500-595 pounds, $120-$138; 600-695 pounds, $90; 700-795 pounds, $123; 1,100-1,195 pounds, $77.

• Heifers: 200-295 pounds, $151-$160; 300-395 pounds, $130-$165; 400-495 pounds, $102-$150.50; 500-595 pounds, $96-$133; 600-695 pounds, $73-$128; 700-795 pounds, $74-$106; 800-895 pounds, $68-$90; 1,200-1,295 pounds, $81.50.
