Activities Director Mylynda Joyce supplied residents with unfinished pillow cases and large, easy-to-thread needles. The women picked their favorite pattern and matching thread and spent the afternoon stuffing and sewing the pillows for their rooms.
“While we sewed, we talked about old times when they used to make their own clothes out of feed sacks and quilts out of the scraps leftover,” said Joyce. “Times were hard, but the women have many good memories.”
