MOUNT AIRY — Ms. Eula Mae Inman Morris, 92, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 19, 2013, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy. She was born in Rocky Mount on May 20, 1920, to the late James Wesley Inman and Melinda Deatherage Inman. In addition to her parents, Ms. Morris was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Maurice Inman. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she worked for the St. Petersburg Times Classified Advertising department for 20 years. Her church and her Bible were her closest companions over the years. She was eventually able to retire to the mountains of western North Carolina, a lifelong dream. Ms. Morris is survived by an only son, Ronald James Morris, and one daughter-in-law, JoAnn Newkumet Morris, currently of Franklin, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lawrence Benjamin Morris, Mary Michelle Morris Carlson and Michael James Morris; four great-grandchildren, Michael William Morris, Amanda Michelle Carlson, Sophie Nicole Carlson and Benjamin Andrew Morris; one sister-in-law, Jackie Inman; one nephew, Stephen Wesley Inman; one niece, Melinda Jane Evans; and many other cousins in the Mount Airy area.
