SUPPLY — Dallas R. Pruitt Jr., 63, of Supply and formerly of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013. He was born in Mount Airy on June 12, 1949. Remembered is his father, Jim Pruitt, who preceded him in death. Dallas was retired from Winston-Salem Police Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of Brunswick Islands Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years. A member and co-founder of Tri-Beach Car Club, had a great love for fishing and hunting and being outdoors. His love for his Lord and Savior was always evident before others and his strong faith was his witness in life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melodee Pruitt; two sons, Todd Pruitt (Heather) and Justin Pruitt (Tiffany); six grandchildren, Aubrie, Eli, Emma, Maggie, Rowan and Aaron; his mother, Ruby B. Pruitt; one sister, Teresa Fritts (Randy); brother-in-law, Kent Allen (Donna); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will see friends on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at Brunswick Islands Baptist Church, 1672 Mt.
