Dobson sets budget workshop
DOBSON — Members of the Dobson Board of Commissioners set an April 15 date for a budget retreat and planning session, but Town Manager Josh Smith said they don’t have much to worry about. Driver charged in November moped death
A driver whose SUV struck a moped in Mount Airy last fall, fatally injuring its rider, has been charged with three violations, city police announced Thursday afternoon. Eddie Ray Humes, 61, of 308 Spring St., is accused of misdemeanor death by vehicle, failing to yield the right of way at a red light and driving while licensed revoked, according to Sgt. B.L. National English Shepherd Rescue sends dogs to new homes
Thursday afternoon volunteers from the National English Shepherd Rescue prepared a group of dogs, rescued from Pilot Mountain after their owner died, for transportation to foster and adoptive homes.
