Fugitive now behind bars
DOBSON — A Virginia man wanted on federal drug charges was being held in the Surry County Jail Wednesday after his arrest by a N.C. Highway Patrol trooper, authorities said.
Barry James Anderson, 41, of Claudville, had been declared a fugitive by the Patrick County, Va., Sheriff’s Office after his recent indictment by a federal grand jury on two counts of distribution of methamphetamine in excess of 50 grams in weight.
