Local animal group receives grant
In a move that local animal advocates say “couldn’t have come at a better time,” the Petco Foundation has presented Mayberry4Paws a $500 grant that will be used to help control the unwanted pet population in the county. The grant, announced last Thursday, will be used to help market the group’s spay/neuter programs in Surry County.
