Mount Airy High School will host its fifth youth soccer camp this summer from June 27-30. The camp is open to all boys and girls from rising 3rd graders to rising 9th graders and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.
The camp will be coordinated by Mount Airy head coach Will Hurley and assistant coach Holden Hurley, in addition to current members of the Granite Bear girls and boys soccer teams. The camp staff will encourage and teach campers fundamental soccer skills in a personal and team setting while strengthening the skills they currently possess. There will be daily games and other activities.
Campers need shin guards and cleats or tennis shoes. There will be no-open toed shoes allowed. Friday, July 1 could be used as a make-up day if there are any cancellations due to rain.
The cost of the camp is $60 if paid by June 13. After that date, the price goes up to $70. If readers have any questions about the camp, Coach Will Hurley is available to contact at 910-723-7759. Brochures are currently available at Mount Airy High School.
