DOBSON — God received an Angel yesterday, Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, Tabitha Elaine York, 42, of Dobson, departed from this life on earth and into the arms of her Lord and Savior at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A loving mother, daughter and friend, she brought smiles to many faces and touched many lives. Tabitha was born on Aug. 23, 1968, in Forsyth County to Scarlett Chaney of Dobson and the late William Calvin Harrison. She is survived by her parents, Larry Joe and Scarlett Chaney; two beautiful daughters, Leah Marie York and Grace Reed Harrison, both of the home; brother, Ryan Nicholas Harrison and wife Marissa of Yadkinville; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Bear Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan Buie and the Rev. James Pardue. Miss York will lie-in-state from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Church of Christ. The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Bear Creek Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scarlett Chaney, 9184 N.C. 268, Elkin, NC 28621 to be put in trust for Leah and Grace. Johnson Funeral Home will be serving the York family.
