West Stokes beat Central Eagles 10-2

KING — West Stokes got a big lead in the first inning and coasted to a 10-2 victory Tuesday against Surry Central.

The Wildcats put up six runs in the bottom of the first, then added two in the bottom of the third for an 8-0 lead, according to Coach Matt Scott.

The Golden Eagles scored one run in the fourth and sixth innings, but the Wildcats had two in the bottom of the fourth.

Central’s Preston Cave hit a solo home run, one of only two Eagle hits on the night.

Central gave up eight hits and committed three errors. West Stokes had two errors.

Surry Central travels to North Stokes on Friday.
