Northern Hospital of Surry County celebrates National Nursing Assistants Week June 16-23.

This year marks the 34th annual National Nursing Assistants week, an event that recognizes and celebrates nursing assistants for the daily care they provide in hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and other long term care settings. Northern Hospital and other facilities across the country mark this week to honor our Nursing Assistants that provide care to our patients.

“Northern Hospital is fortunate to have the tenured staff we have in surgical services”, said Brian Beasley, director of Surgical Services at Northern Hospital. “They do a great job in caring for the patients we serve and to meet each patient’s basic needs during their visit.”

The six nursing assistants within surgical services have a combined total of 114 years of experience. The hospital is honoring the week with a bulletin board displayed in The Surgery Center waiting room. The board will display information on the profession and celebrate the staff’s role in providing care at Northern Hospital.
