Lindsay Moore Mathews of Lexington, S.C., and Brian Lee Stone of Mount Airy were united in marriage on Nov. 12 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The 6:30 p.m. ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Patrick Riddle and the Rev. Dr. Dennis Bolton.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Manly Mathews of Lexington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Patsy Simpson Foster of Columbia and the late William Lynch Foster and the late Mr. and Mrs. Basil Manly Mathews of North Augusta, S.C. She is a cum laude graduate of Wofford College, where she earned a B.A. in government with a concentration in world politics and minor in history. She is employed as a senior account manager at the headquarters of SchoolDude.com, Inc. in Cary.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lee Stone Jr. of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Mrs. Tishie Mae Caudle and the late Guy Seymour Caudle and Mrs. Zeo Pack Stone and the late Harold Lee Stone Sr. of Mount Airy. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned a B.S. in business administration and minored in Spanish. He is employed as an account executive in the Cary office of NORESCO of Boston, Mass.

The maid of honor was Meredith Lynch Mathews, sister of the bride, and the matron of honor was Maggie Stone Moore, sister of the bridegroom. Attendants were Brooke Tidwell, Kristina Ritlinger Goodman, Mary Winter Clark Teaster and Alison Leigh Clarke.

The flower girl was Natalie Elizabeth Moore, niece of the bridegroom, and ringbearer was Christopher Moore, nephew of the bridegroom.

The groom’s father, Harold Lee Stone Jr., served his son as best man, and the groomsman was Foster Manly Mathews, brother of the bride. Ushers were Needham Stone Atkins, cousin of the bridegroom; and Paul Jeter Lanier, Christopher Delay Lamm and Byron Scott Bailey Jr.

Readers were William Foster, uncle of the bride, and Mitchell Bailey. Anna Tillman Williams served as guest book attendant.

A reception followed at the Embassy Suites.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents at the Summit Club.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
