On Saturday the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History is hosting its 2nd annual St. Patrick’s Day party at Old North State Winery from 8 until 11 p.m.
Matt Edwards, executive director of the museum, said he thinks this year’s party will be well attended.
“This is the next in the series of our party events. The next one will be in the fall. We had a good turnout last year and we think we will have a good turn out this year. It’s one of those good time events where you can come out and listen to music. The money goes for a good cause — to support the museum. We want everyone to come out and enjoy the holiday,” said Edwards.
Evan Olsen and Dana will be providing the music for the event. They will be returning for the Mount Airy Rotary March Madness Draw-Down event at the winery the weekend of March 24.
There be party favors and door prizes. And, of course, there will be green beer and wine.
“This is a great example of how these partnerships with the winery work well for non-profits like the museum. This is a fun way to get the community involved with the museum,” said Edwards.
The museum will be open that night from 8 to 9 p.m. for those who want to see what the museum has to offer.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the museum located at 301 North Main Street.
