Mount Airy Police Officer Kayla Kite blocks the rear entrance to First Citizen's Bank Friday afternoon with her patrol car as a bank robbery is investigated.
Mount Airy Police officers are trying to located a white male who robbed the First Citizens Bank just after 4 p.m. today.
According to Capt. Richard Lowe the man was not wearing a mask.
The bank is located at 502 North Main Street. The last bank robbery in Mount Airy occurred in September 2008, when Bank of America was robbed. A Maryland man was charged in that crime.
