• A Mount Airy man has been arrested as a fugitive from justice and jailed under a $20,000 secured bond, according to city police department reports. Harold Lee Allison, 42, of 372 Gravely St., was taken into custody at his home Thursday night on outstanding felony warrants from the Patrick County, Va., Sheriff’s Office. The charges were not specified. Allison, whose name had been entered in a national crime database, is facing a May 7 appearance in Surry District Court.

• Zachary Zane Campbell, 18, of 217 Rockford St., was cited for a city noise ordinance violation and consuming an alcoholic beverage by a person under 19 after police came to his home early Friday. Officers responded to Campbell’s residence about 1:45 a.m. after a complaint about loud music, which could be heard from 75 feet away, police records state. Campbell is to be in District Court on May 22.

• Earl Ray Gentry, 39, of 294 Early Gentry Lane, Dobson, was cited for larceny last Wednesday after allegedly taking beer from Food Lion on West Lebanon Street. Gentry subsequently was arrested on Grace Street near Park Avenue and confined in the Surry County Jail under a $300 secured bond. He is slated for a May 21 appearance in District Court.

• Moses Edward Seat Jr., 43, of 5237 Larkspur Drive, Winston-Salem, was arrested on a seven-year old violation of unlawful use of a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on South Main Street near Arlington Street on Monday of last week. The complainant for that offense, issued in May 2005, is a High Point woman. Seat is free on a written promise to appear in court on May 23.

• Glenn Donald McMillian, 30, of 8438 Wards Gap Road, Cana, Va., was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses, a felony, and larceny by changing a price tag after an incident at Walmart on April 21. McMillian allegedly switched prices on merchandise and purchased it at the reduced price. He was held in the Surry County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond and is to be in District Court on May 15.

• Darrell Michael Beasley, 31, of 420 Coon Ridge Road, Hillsville, Va., was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon after consuming alcohol and failing to notify a law enforcement officer of a concealed handgun after police responded to a fight call at Waffle House in the early morning hours of April 21. Beasley is accused of not telling police about the presence of a .32-caliber Keltec in a rear pants pocket. The gun, magazine and ammunition were seized during the investigation along with a concealed-carry permit issued in Carroll County, Va., and Beasley was jailed under a $1,000 secured bond. His Surry District Court date is May 30.

• Randall Nathan Wall, 23, of 2616 S. Main St., is facing violations of larceny and first-degree trespassing filed at Walmart on April 21. Wall, who was arrested during a traffic stop, had been observed inside the store after being banned from that location. Police also discovered an outstanding order for arrest against Wall for failing to appear in court on March 20 along with two warrants for larceny filed on March 2. He was confined in the Surry County Jail in lieu of a $300 bond and is facing multiple court dates in May.
