TRINITY — The Lady Eagles have been knocked from the state 2A soccer playoffs.
Trinity beat Surry Central 4-0 to advance to the second round against Central Davidson.
Some area teams are still alive.
West Stokes beat West Caldwell 4-0 to advance. The Lady Wildcats will face Wilkes Central, which crushed Andrews 12-0.
Forbush upset Randleman 5-2 in overtime. The Lady Falcons next face Piedmont.
Ashe County also pulled off an upset, beating Newton-Conover 4-0. The Lady Huskies next face Cuthbertson.
