PINNACLE — Music legend Willie Nelson is scheduled to perform at the Jomeokee Park Amphitheater in Pinnacle on June 16. This is Nelson’s first, and possibly only, North Carolina performance for 2012.

Alan Pace, owner of Jomeokee Park, said he has been working for three years to get Nelson to come perform at his park.

“I’m really excited. I’m a big fan. I always thought he was one of the best performers. We are both getting up there in age, but I haven’t made the money that he has,” said Pace with a laugh.

He said there will not be any camping during the concert. Beer will be sold, and there will be an area designated for families who chose not to be around that, Pace said.

Tickets are $40 in advance and went on sale to the general public on Thursday through www.eventbrite.com and www.willienelson.com. VIP tickets also are available in advance for $85 and include early entry, preferred viewing, premier parking, a limited edition concert poster and more.

Jomeokee Park Amphitheater is at 140 Places Place Road, Pinnacle. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 at the gate.

To purchase tickets, go to www.eventbrite.com/www.willienelson.com.
