Air Force JROTC members stand at ease during Military Appreciation night at Surry Central High School Friday. North Surry and Surry Central were honored with Distinguished Unit Awards with Merit honors at halftime. Members of the Surry County School Board and dignataries were on hand for the ceremony as well.

This honor guard recognized the military service of present armed forces personnel as well as veterans during Military Appreciation Day at Surry Central Friday night. Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force and the Marine Corps were represented by the flags.
