Arrests

The Surry County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

• On Sept. 6, Denisee Dameron Waddell, 44, of Austin Little Mountain Road in Roaring River, was arrested and charged with the possession of stolen property and intimidating a witness. She was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $20,000 bond.

• On Sept. 7, Dillon Edward Leftwich, 20, of Avie Trail in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with felony larceny, the possession of stolen property and obtaining property under false pretenses. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $2,500 bond.

• On Sept. 11, Rodney Reginald Ratcliff, 54, of Sherry Drive in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $10,000 bond.

• On Sept. 12, Levi Randall Good, 21, of Cherokee Trail in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice in Virginia. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 bond.

Incidents

The following incidents are being investigated by the Surry County Sheriff’s Office:

• On Sept. 2, Crystal Gail Key, 33, of Tom Cook Road in Mount Airy, reported the breaking and entering of her residence. No items were listed as missing, according to police reports.

• On Sept. 3, David Eric Lanning, 53, of Siloam Road in Siloam, reported the theft of a cell phone from his vehicle. The phone was valued at $300.

• On Sept. 3, Steve Todd Lawson, 46, of Simmons Trail in Pilot Mountain, reported the breaking and entering of a building and the theft of a 2007 Ford Taurus valued at $3,000.

• On Sept. 3, Felipe “NMN” Avalos, 53, of Hamlin Ford Road in Dobson, reported that someone had damaged a window screen and vinyl siding on his home.

• On Sept. 4, Roland Allen Dillard, 40, of Benge Ashe Road in Purlear, reported the theft of a 1985 Toyota truck valued at $2,800.

• On Sept. 7, employees at Gilley’s Automotive, located on Cook School Road in Pilot Mountain, reported the theft of $1,000 in vehicle parts and accessories.

• On Sept. 7, employees at Kiser’s Grocery on the East 52 bypass in Pilot Mountain, reported the attempted breaking and entering of the store. Damage to a door was listed at $250.

• On Sept. 8, Darrell Christopher Snow, 34, of Maple Grove Church Road in Mount Airy, reported that someone had damaged two exterior door locks on his home. The damage was valued at $70.

• On Sept. 9, Edward Shawn Hairston, 47, of Gaylon Street in Mount Airy, reported the theft of a 1996 Ford Thunderbird valued at $2,500.

• On Sept. 9, Ruth Earlene Atkins, 67, of Peach Bottom Road in Laurel Springs, reported the theft of a wallet containing $520 in cash.
