This Friday, the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History will be featuring Shelton Vineyards and Doug Reeves and the Carolina Eagles in its Toast and Jam series from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the museum’s courtyard.

“This is the second of scheduled Toast and Jams this season. We’ve moved the event to coincide with major community activities including the Fourth of July, Mayberry Days and Autumn Leaves,” said Matt Edwards, executive director for the museum.

While Doug Reeves and the Carolina Eagles provide bluegrass music, Shelton Vineyards will be letting visitors sample their wines. Wine also may be purchased by the bottle or glass.

“We’re always grateful to be able to work with Shelton Vineyards. They have a long relationship with the museum and are true industry leaders in our region,” said Edwards. “This is a great opportunity for out-of-town visitors and locals alike to come out and get a taste of the musical traditions and locally produced wines.”

Edwards encouraged everyone to come out and have a good time.

“As always, Toast and Jam is free to the public thanks to the support of series sponsor B & L Custom Jewelers; however, visitors are encouraged to make donations to support the operation’s ongoing programming at the museum.”
