STATE ROAD — Margaret Graves Wolfe of State Road died on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late W. Byron Wolfe. Mrs. Wolfe was a native of Surry County and the daughter of B. Yancey and Virginia Bitting Graves. She was retired from Spencer’s Inc. of Mount Airy and later retired with her husband from Wolfe Brothers. She was a member of Elkin Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Graves Porter; two brothers, Yancy Graves III and Joseph Bitting Graves; a nephew, David Smith Graves; and niece, JoAnne Hiatt. Mrs. Wolfe is survived by a niece, Virginia “Ginny” Smith and husband Randy of Deep Run; nephews, Charles Bitting Graves and wife Cindy of East Berlin, Pa., and Billy Ray Hiatt of Mount Airy; and six great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. and interment will follow at Elkin Presbyterian Church in the Columbarium. Dr. Bill Johnson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to W.B. Wolfe Foundation, P.O.
