To the Editor,
Who in the world should I vote for this year? The answer to that question is really quite simple: Which candidate stands for freedom? No matter the office being sought, local, state, or national, or party affiliation: Which candidate stands for freedom?
Regulations and a clear set of rules can be generally accepted but excessive regulations and changing the rules repeatedly will always equal bondage. Reasonable taxation is generally accepted considering the defense of our country, normal cost of running the government, and the funding of local fire departments, rescue, law enforcement, and other local services, but excessive taxation to fund politician’s pet projects, to prop-up dead beat individuals who do not contribute to society, to fund projects that are morally wrong, and any number of other wasteful endeavors will always equal bondage.
Any candidate who is in favor of limiting your constitutional rights as a citizen of the United States of America, be it speech, gun ownership, religion, or private property should be considered hostile toward freedom. Our country was settled by those who came looking for freedom of worship and the freedom from tyranny. Our founding fathers created a government based on freedom of the people. The founders also put the people in charge of the government not the government in charge of the people.
When considering the candidate, one should not look at skin color, religious affiliation, party, gender, or economic background, one should ask, “How does the candidate view freedom?” If the candidate truly believes in freedom they will not mess with yours when elected to office. The most basic and important element in the American experience is freedom and when freedom is put to the side and disregarded, then America will cease to be America, “Home of the Free.”
So, when you step in that booth to cast your vote, Vote for Freedom!
