This Saturday, RidgeCrest Retirement & Assisted Living Community is hosting a benefit breakfast for the Greater Mount Airy Habitat for Humanity from 8 to 11 a.m.

The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage, baked apples, gravy, biscuits, juice and coffee.

Karen Burnette, lifestyle adviser for RidgeCrest, said each year a different organization is chosen for the fall fundraiser.

“Earlier this year we held a bridge tournament for the Mount Airy Public Library and last year we held one for the senior center. Each year we look ahead to think of a worthy endeavor. This year it was suggested that we host it for Habitat for Humanity, and we are certainly glad to do it,” said Burnette.

She said everyone in the community is invited.

“We would like to invite everyone to come out and enjoy. These events are usually very well attended,” said Burnette.

The cost for the breakfast is $7 per person.
