To all the local people who voted, whether you cast that ballot during early elections or on Nov. 6. Any reasonable person understands the federal and state governments are, in many ways, out of control, and taking advantage of the right to cast a ballot is the last chance individuals have of reclaiming control.
To the candidates, especially ones on the local and state level, who participated in the election whether in a winning or losing effort. Running for any office can be an expensive, consuming endeavor. The fact that most of these candidates did so simply because they want to serve their community — as we believe most do — is laudable and that is always a laudable effort.
