In the boys’ game, the Cardinals’ inside presence lifted the home team to an 18-2 start on the way to a 62-36 win.
Post players Tyler Pardue and Seth Brim outscored East Wilkes by themselves through three quarters.
For the girls, Sydney Mosley’s hot first half gave the Lady Cards a boost on the way to a 66-39 win. Mosley had 17 points and five assists by halftime.
