• Megan Rushelle Yandel, 21, of 334 Pippen St., No. 11, was cited for larceny Thursday at Walmart, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. Yandel is accused of exiting the store with dietary and feminine supplements valued at $37. She is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Feb. 19.

• A break-in was discovered Wednesday at Mayberry Flea Market on North Andy Griffith Parkway, where an unknown suspect attempted to enter the business by breaking a window of an entrance door with a rock. The damage was put at $300.

• A drop-cord valued at $69 was reported stolen Wednesday at Walmart, from which an unknown suspect took the property without paying. Other items are said to have been taken as well, but were not listed.

• Police were told last Tuesday that a break-in of a motor vehicle had occurred in a parking lot at 134 Renfro St., involving property owned by Heather Dawn Brown, a Riverside Drive resident. A wallet containing a Bank of America debit card, a Sam’s Club card, a driver’s license and insurance cards were taken after someone opened an unlocked door of a 2008 Toyota RAV4.
