MOUNT AIRY — Barrett William Lynch, 45, of Mount Airy, formerly of Newton, died after a courageous battle on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born Dec. 20, 1967, in Catawba County, he was the son of W. Harold Lynch of Newton and the late Lana Greene Lynch. Barrett was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newton and worked as the director of Design for Renfro Corp. in Mount Airy. He was a member of Cross Creek Country Club in Mount Airy and was a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother, Kyle Jennings Lynch of Newton; and cousins, Sabrina Townsend of Bethlehem and Jessica Townsend of Pineville. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Newton. The Rev. Dr. David Greene and the Rev. Lara Greene will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Kitchen Renovation Fund, 1st United Methodist Church, P.O.
