PINNACLE — Mrs. Geneva Frances Turpin, 82 , of Pinnacle, widow of the late John Aaron Turpin, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Priddy Manor of King. She was born on April 4, 1930, in Surry County to the late Edgar and Nina Lawerance Bryant. Mrs. Turpin was a lab tech for Dr. Henry Newsome and Dr. Marjorie Matthews and was a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church. Mrs. Turpin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pamela Turpin; two granddaughters, Jordan Kayla Turpin and Hailey Marie Turpin; one sister, Joyce Turpin; and one niece and nephews. Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Pinnacle View Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Chamblin, the Rev. Ron Hall and the Rev. David Joyce officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in floral tribune or to Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215. The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff at Priddy Manor and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
