Mr. Anthony Gray D’Amico, 49 of Mount Airy passed away at his home on Saturday, March 9, 2013. He was born in Surry County on January 12, 1964 to Tony Gray and Frankie Elizabeth Combs D’Amico. Mr. D’Amico was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed with NCFI. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jean Perry D’Amico; a daughter, Dora D’Amico and a son, Jacob D’Amico all of the home; parents, Tony Gray and Frankie E. Combs D’Amico of Mount Airy, a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Ricky Bobbitt of Woodlawn, VA and a brother, Johnny D’Amico of Mount Airy. Mr. D’Amico was preceded in death by his brother, Richard D’Amico. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC with Rev. Winfred Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 6:00–8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be made to Moody Funeral Home, PO Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist with the funeral expenses.
