The Lady Eagles stayed perfect in soccer with a 9-0 win over North Surry.

Surry Central scored four goals in the first 19 minutes and ended the game early with a ninth goal in the 62nd minute.

Haylee Harrison attacked the goal over and over, scoring four of the Eagles’ six goals in the first half.

Kelsey Taylor added two goals and an assist to Harrison for all the scoring before halftime.

Just four minutes in, the Eagles’ Laura Dobbins sent a high pass over the defenders’ heads. Taylor outran the North Surry keeper to the ball and blooped a shot over the charging keeper into the net.

Five minutes later, Tess Dockery sent a pass through the center of the defense that Harrison knocked in for a 2-0 lead.

Three minutes after that, Emilee Stanley fed Harrison for a goal to make it 3-0.

In the 19th minute, Taylor assisted Harrison for a score.

Neither team could score for the next 18 minutes before Sarah Bruce passed to Taylor for a score with three minutes left before the half.

Harrison needed only another minute before scoring her fourth goal with two minutes left.

In the second period, Dockery found Victoria Olchowoj for a goal in the 47th minute. That was Dockery’s third assist of the night.

In the 55th minute, Sophie Williams made it 8-0.

Then the final score came as Bruce assisted Olchowoj in the 62nd minute.

Starting keeper Chandler Musson sat out this game with an injury. Alicia Bartolo took her spot, but with the defense playing so well, the keeper didn’t have to make but a couple of stops.

Surry Central improved to 7-0, 3-0 in the Northwest Conference.

North Surry fell to 1-2, 0-1 in the Northwest.

The Hounds host South Stokes next Tuesday, while Surry Central hosts West Wilkes on Monday.
