Andrew Pennington — The sophomore linebacker gave coach Brian Hampton’s team a defensive spark it hadn’t seen this in his first varsity week of the season.
Surry Central Golden Eagles
Granath Musson — The junior linebacker did a little bit of everything in Friday night’s loss at West Stokes. He had two pass breakups, numerous tackles and a couple big hits, which Surry Central coach Monty Southern said have been lacking from his defense.
