So many times, in our carnal mind, we can’t get what we ask or feel we don’t deserve what we ask and sometimes, maybe we don’t. But if you put your faith, and trust in the Lord, we can certainly receive. If you ask an amiss meaning, if you ask in an improper order or wrong way, you will not receive. God knows our heart, every intent of our heart. The story of Solomon, King David’s son, Solomon was a man that loved the Lord, walking in the statues of his Father 1st Kings 3:3. In 1st Kings 3:5, in Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, ask what I shall give thee. Solomon wanted to please God, He was not thinking of riches and honor; but because that was Solomon’s desire, he wanted to be more discernment, and wisdom. And, because that was Solomon’s desire, God also lengthened his days, 1st Kings 13:14. Solomon was a wise man. Because of the wisdom God had granted Solomon, he was able to discern, which one of the two harlot women that were telling the truth, about their child. Solomon made judgment only because the Lord had given him wisdom to know. 1st Kings 3:28, and all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king; for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to do judgment. Many of us have gifts of strong discernment, wisdom, and knowledge. Just like Solomon asked, so can you. Matt 7:7. Ask it shall be given you, seek, you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. John 15:7, if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you. I know, we are concerned about the economy, earthquakes, loss of jobs, loss of homes, concerned for our families, but, there is still hope. We have a Savior, Jesus! If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Jas. 1:5.. 1st Jn 5:14, and this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us. No matter what you are standing in need of. Believe, and you shall receive. Your faith worketh for you. Be blessed in the Lord!
