Chasity Nicole Easter and Cory James Baldwin were married Aug. 7 in a 6 p.m. ceremony held at the East residence on Haystack Road. Bro. Charles Mustian officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas Easter of Mount Airy and Melissa Childress of Mount Airy. Her grandparents are Barbara E. Collins and Gifford Easter of Cana, Va., and Mozelle Bledsoe and the late Joseph Childress of Dobson. She graduated from North Surry High School and received an Associates in Applied Science degree in dental hygiene from Guilford Technical Community College, where she received the GTCC Community Dental Award of 2010. She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

The bridegroom is the son of James and Jennifer Baldwin of Mount Airy and is the grandson of Robert and Anna Lovill of Mount Airy and Patricia Baldwin and the late Joe Baldwin of Mount Airy. He graduated from North Surry High School and attends Appalachian State University, where he is majoring in psychology and has a minor in biology. He plans to attend graduate school to obtain his doctorate in occupational therapy. He is a mason and a member of the Round Peak Lodge 116.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a beautiful white Michaelangelo Southern-Belle type gown. The satin bodice was embroidered with silver crystals and white pearls in an intricate pattern that spilled onto the back of the flowing train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of deep purple and yellow completed with the handkerchief of her late great-grandmother, Essie Chappell.

The maid of honor was Marianne McFall. Bridesmaids were Brooke Easter, sister of the bride; Courtney Lineberry; Jodi Haynes; and Jade Sawyers. They wore satin cocktail dresses in variations of turquoise.

The flower girls were Emily Easter and Meadow Childress, both cousins of the bride. The ringbearers were Lakota Childress, cousin of the bride, and Joshua Brooks, son of Josh and Vanessa Brooks.

James Baldwin served his son as best man. The groomsmen were Justin Baldwin, brother of the groom; Cory East; Dustin Foley; and Daniel McCraw, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Michael Childress, Brad Childress, Tikian Childress and Raven Childress.

The couple later departed on their honeymoon to North Myrtle Beach. They reside in Boone.
