Following unexpected heavy rains and wind combined with a apparent roof project today around 12:30 p.m., the Wal-Mart on Rockford Street in Mount Airy is dealing with flooding issues. All customers were evacuated, and no one is being allowed to enter the building. Mount Airy Fire Department officials as well as other emergency officials are on the scene this afternoon.
