Surry Arts Council Young at Art instructor Kayla Ellis enjoys the creativity of Seren Julian at the annual gingerbread house workshop at the Andy Griffith Playhouse on Friday evening. A total of 80 children participated in the workshop.

Anna Peterson concentrates on getting just the right amount of icing on a marshmallow before applying it to her gingerbread house. The workshop was held Friday evening by the Surry Arts Council at The Andy Griffith Playhouse.
It appears Avery Payne was so pleased with the result of his gingerbread house he wanted to capture a picture of it for the future. The annual gingerbread house workshop was coordinated by the Surry Arts Council as a part of the Young at Art program.
Local youths enjoy Gingerbread houses.
