The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:

• On Jan. 1, Jay Steven Harris, 42, of Fancy Gap Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and taken into custody on a governor’s warrant from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• On Dec. 31, Timothy Joseph King, 47, of Brim Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $20,000 bond.

• On Dec. 27, Yodi Dwayne Danley, 29, of North Main Street in Dobson, was arrested and charged with failure to appear on eight counts of breaking and entering. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $200,000 bond.

• On Dec. 27, Jessica Renee Wall, 28, of Dusty Lane in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged on a bill of indictment charging her with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana and maintaining a drug dwelling. She was released from the Surry County Jail on a written promise to appear in court.

• On Dec. 22, Randy Dean Hawks, 33, of Watershed Road in Lowgap, was arrested and charged on a government warrant from Virginia charging him with grand theft.

• On Dec. 23, Clifton Gregory Linville, 17, of Springview Lane in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with felony larceny and the possession of stolen property. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $20,000 bond.

• On Dec. 22, Jackie Dale Atkins, 46, of Bunker Road in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with two probation violations. He was booked into the Surry County Jail on a $2,000 bond.

• On Dec. 22, Terry Wayne Hale, 49, of Caudle Drive in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was booked into the Surry County jail under a $10,000 bond.

• On Dec. 22, Tommy Kamil Akbas, 30, of Wolfe Road in Thurmond, was arrested and charged with one county of breaking and entering and one count of larceny. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $10,000 bond.

• On Dec. 22, Gloria Dawn Settle, 32, of Wolfe Road in Thurmond, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. She was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 bond.

• On Dec. 21, Toby Allen Butcher, 28, of Nellie’s Way in Thurmond, was arrested and charged with the larceny of a motor vehicle. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 bond.

• On Dec. 21, Kristina Leigh Butcher, 26, of Nellie’s Way in Thurmond, was arrested and charged with the larceny of a motor vehicle. She was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
