MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Elmer Jane Webb Bell, 69, of 168 Sarah St., Mount Airy, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Surry County to the late Barney and Inez Parries Webb. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Bell of the home; one sister, Mary Summers and husband, Leon, of Mount Airy; one niece, Myra Wills and her husband, Brian, of Westfield; one nephew, Josh Lyons and his wife, Jessica, of Wilmington; and two sisters-in-law, Ms. Helen Lambeth of Archdale and Doris Bell of Paonia, Colo. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Betty Lynch. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Union Primitive Baptist Church with services conducted by Bro. Don Collins. There will no formal visitation at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family would like to give a very special thank you Dr. Rolland Barrett and Leanne Shoffner and to Jessica King and Rosa Dizon and the staff at the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
