PILOT MOUNTAIN — Mr. Thomas Allen Evans, 72, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He was born in Rich Valley, Va., on April 20, 1940, to the late Tom and Oakie Armstrong Evans. Mr. Evans worked in construction and was a farmer and beekeeper and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Paula Mosblech Evans of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, William Allen “Bill” and Susan Evans of Chilhowie, Va., Thomas “Eugene” Evans of Rantoul, Ill., Rex and Margie Evans of Chilhowie, Va., Wayne Gabriel Myrick of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Michael David Myrick of Alabama; daughter, Angelea Diane Jones of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren and spouses, William Allen “Billy” Evans Jr. and wife, Melissa, Melinda Evans, Dillon Evans, Shirley Pickle and husband, Shannon, Travis Watts and Bella Jones; great-granddaughter, Scarlotte Pickle; sisters and brother-in-law, Bessie Tillson of Marion, Va., Kathy “Lou” Doane of Ceres, Va., and Mary “Sis” and Dennis Brockelman of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers, Arnold “A.C. Evans and Marvin Evans, both of Rich Valley, and Mason Evans of Chilhowie, Va. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by an infant son, Baby Evans Jr.; a grandson, Curtis Harris; a daughter-in-law, Angie Evans; a sister, Lorena Miller; and two brothers, Doug and Sammy Evans. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Love officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will accept friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy on Thursday, May 31, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Moody Funeral Services, P.O.
