NEW BERN — Claude Thomas “Tommy” Neal, 66, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center. He had worked as central office technician with Sprint Telephone Company. He enjoyed RV’ing and was a member of IRV2. He was a member of Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Spain Neal; two daughters, Susan Neal McNeely and husband William of New Bern and Sharon Neal Humphrey and husband Jay of Raleigh; and five grandchildren, William Tyler McNeely, Sarah McNeely, Michael Edwards, Lauren Edwards and Olivia Humphrey. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westfield Baptist Church in Westfield with the Rev. Joel Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Susan McNeely, 1400 Stallings Parkway, New Bern, starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday and other times at his residence, 95 Chair Road, New Bern.
