ARARAT — Mrs. Connie Jean Etnire Miller, 61, of 173 Badgett Road, Ararat, passed away early Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 18, 1951, in Coles County, Ill., to the late Orpha Jean Cassady. Connie was a devoted and loving housewife. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles Carlton Miller of the home; a daughter, Heather Lynn Scott of Ararat; and two sisters, Debbie Oakley and Diana Walker, both of Charleston, Ill. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and arranging the burial to take place in Illinois. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at The Sanctuary, located on Worth Street in Mount Airy, with Pastor Glenn Dulaney officiating.
