MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Manuel Puckett, 73, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Puckett was born in Virginia on Feb. 10, 1939, to Dock and Ola Davis Puckett. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Joe McGill of Pilot Mountain; a son, Tony Puckett of Mount Airy; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Puckett. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Lee Puckett; a grandson, Zachary Puckett; sisters, Marie Easter and Margie Hall; and brothers, Joe Puckett, Harvey Puckett and Major Puckett. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jeff Pickett.
