MOUNT AIRY — Miss Keisha Autumn Hice, 22, of 338 Isaacs Road, Mount Airy, passed away early Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2013, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Miss Hice was born April 30, 1990, in Surry County, the only child born to John Lewis and Lucy Isaacs Hice. Keisha worked as a medical assistant for Stallings and Billings for several years and was a very loving and giving person. She is survived by her parents, John Lewis and Lucy Isaacs Hice of Mount Airy; her uncles and aunts, Timmy and Jennifer Isaacs, Patty Isaacs, Bobby and Kelly Hice, Bert and Sylvia Blevins, Kenneth and Pat Lowe, and Becky Bandy and Gradgy; and many treasured cousins. Miss Hice was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Irene White; her maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Ray and Bertie Isaacs; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Hice; an uncle, Jimmy Isaacs; and a special cousin, Michelle Parker. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Brother Don Collins, the Rev. Claude Lloyd and the Rev. Gary Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in the New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Timmy and Jennifer Isaacs, 343 Isaacs Road, Mount Airy. The family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the staff of UNC Hospital, the staff of Northern Hospital of Surry County, Dr. Challie Minton, and Courtney, Keisha’s dear friend, for all the love and tender care given to Keisha during her sickness.
