PINNACLE — Mae Ola Lawson, 84, of 1476 Dalton Loop Road, Pinnacle, passed away Feb. 8, 2013, at Woltz Hospice Home, Dobson. She was born Feb. 5, 1929, in Stokes County to the late Rural and Pinktora Adkins. Mae Ola was a farmer and of Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading the Bible and sewing. Proceeding her in death were her parents; a son, Randall Lawson; and a grandson, Micheal Rutledge. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jane Rutledge of Pinnacle, Joyce Lawson Whitaker and husband Danny, Norma Jean Simmons and husband Mark of Mount Airy; sons and daughter-in-law, Sammy Lawson and wife Janice of Westfield and Roger Lawson of Pinnacle; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. David Joyce at Pinnacle Baptist Church. Family will receive friends noon to 2 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2013, at the church. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
