SILOAM — Mr. Thaddaues D. Hardy, 86, of Siloam, widower of the late Iris Billings Hardy, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013. He was born on Oct. 25, 1926, in Surry County to the late James and Columbia Bowman Hardy. Mr. Hardy was a retired tobacco farmer and worked for D& D Metal Products. He was a lifelong member of Siloam Baptist Church. Mr. Hardy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Linda Hardy of Winston-Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Mike Joyce of Winston-Salem and Christy and Trace Draughn of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Sammy Smith, Sandy Pruitt, Wendy Robbins, Chase and Tyler Draughn; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his wife; and parents. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Cox-Needham Chapel with Chaplin Justin Nelson and the Rev. Bill Faw officiating. Interment will follow at Siloam Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or to Siloam Baptist Church cemetery fund, c/o Marie Matthews, P.O.
